Podemos distinguir dos tipos de números, los ordinales y los cardinales. Los cardinales son los que todos conocemos: uno, dos, tres, cuatro, cinco, etc. Y los ordinales son: primero, segundo, tercero, cuarto, quinto, etc.
Los números ordinales en inglés
Los primeros tres números ordinales tienen una palabra propia, es decir que no siguen ninguna norma a la hora de formarlos y simplemente te los tienes que aprender de memoria. Sin embargo, el resto de números si que siguen una norma en la que existen pocas excepciones. Se trata de añadir "th" al final del nombre del número cardinal.
